Loose-Leaf Revival: Performance Poetry

The Loose-Leaf Revival is a lively presentation of fresh, original spoken word by an emerging young New England poet, GennaRose Nethercott. Ranging from the lyrical to the edgy, the performance features theatrical monologues, readings, humor, and even a ukulele ballad or two to add to the festivities. Following the show a writing workshop will be offered, in which participants will have the chance to explore their own voices and stories.
World of Bridges: An Engineering Tale

Travel all over the world and throughout history with this interactive engineering adventure. In a read-aloud story we meet best friends Alicia and Miguel as they try to build a bridge in the stream separating their homes. The audience helps solve their problem with a hands-on engineering activity, and learns how other cultures have faced similar building challenges. For the grand finale, the group constructs and walks across a giant Roman arch bridge!! Sponsored by the Boston Museum of Science.

Every day from Wednesday, July 18 to Sunday, July 29. Mix a Hitchcock masterpiece with a juicy spy novel, add a dash of Monty Python and you have The 39 Steps, a fastpaced whodunit for anyone who loves the magic of theatre. Patrick Barlow adapted the play from the novel by John Buchan and the film of Alfred Hitchcock to create over 150 zany characters (played by a ridiculously talented cast of four, including Tom Frey, Kraig Swartz, and Bridget Beirne). An on-stage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, and some good old-fashioned romance add to the fun! PG-13.

Local Roots Food Fair

The Children’s Museum of NH, in partnership with Hannaford Supermarkets,
will present Local Roots Food Fair at the Children’s Museum of New
Hampshire in Dover. This indoor event is free with paid admission and
will include reusable Hannaford canvas bags to decorate and take home.
Celebrating the abundance of locally-produced food and products, visitors will enjoy an afternoon of free food samples featured in Hannaford’s “Close To Home” program, interactive games and activities with ReRootEd, the Seacoast Local foods program. Try products produced throughout the state of New Hampshire such as fresh fruit, honey, whole grain breads, Cabot cheese and Stonyfield yogurt, and take home recipes for new ways to enjoy these foods at home. Representatives from ReRootEd will lead a sensory program including edible plant and herb sampling, visitors can explore local sources for delicious and nutritious farm foods, and everyone can check out the Museum’s own indoor and outdoor fruit and vegetable garden.

It will be the same in that we will start with our meal, while eat have the
movie and talk and then make our dish to take home. If you just want to listen and not participate there is no cost. To
