Bob Chilcott's Salisbury Vespers, is a remarkable work by England's hottest living composer one whom the London Observer calls "a contemporary hero of British choral music". With driving rhythms, passages of reflective contemplation, and expansive, powerful textures, Chilcott's Salisbury Vespers is scored for double chorus, brass, organ, and percussion. 

Acupuncture Program

Join Virginia Voronin who will talk about Community Acupuncture and how it helps many people to release trauma and stress. A Licensed  Acupuncturist, Virginia Voronin has set up free (or by donation) Community Acupuncture Clinics in several locations in southern  Vermont. This fall, her focus has been on helping Vermonters in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Irene.Voronin is also a member of  Acupuncture Without Borders (AWB), a volunteer network which provides immediate and long term disaster relief and recovery to communities that are in crises as a result of earth disasters or human conflict.
After the discussion, participants are invited to a “needles free” demonstration to experience the benefits of Community Acupuncture.

Poetry Out Loud

Time: 3:00 PM-4:30 PM
Place: Keene Public Libary

Ages: High school age


Students interested in participating in the Keene Public Library's Poetry Out Loud competition are required to attend these poetry workshops.
Workshops will explore how to choose and memorize a poem. Practice contests and writing exercises will also be included.
Poetry Out Loud is a program for high school aged students that encourages teens to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation.
The date of the library's competition will be Sunday, February 12 at 2 p.m.
