Book Signing and Workshop

Time: 11:00 AM
Place: Toadstool Book Shop, Keene, NH
Price: Free
Ages: All

Join us at The Toadstool Bookshop in Keene, NH, Saturday, October 29th as we hear the forgotten tale of Professor von Junk and the first pumpkin carving. “Scooped” written and illustrated by Keene’s own Author/Illustrators, Kevin and Rebecca Kelly, takes you and your children on a delightful journey to discover how the first pumpkin carving came to be. Dive into this wonderfully rhythmic voyage and learn how Professor Junk and his repulsive assistant E. Gore work their magic and not only bring joy to the villagers, but invent the jack-o‚-lantern as well. Join us for our "Scooped" workshop where we will immerse ourselves in the wonderful world of Professor Junk. We will begin with a reading of "Scooped"; The Forgotten Tale First Pumpkin Carving. Directly following the reading, the illustrator will demonstrate how he created the whimsical characters that inhabit this unique tale and then work with the children to create their own character. Signed books will be available for purchase.
