Back by popular demand! Clay and ceramics artist Carmella Stagakis
is offering private 1/2 hour sessions on her pottery wheel. While this
is an all day event, you will sign up for a half hour time slot with
Carmella. You are not expected to remain for the entire day - just for
your time slot. You must call Carmella directly at 529-7717 to
register.
Carmella will guide your child to create a piece of hand thrown
pottery on her wheel. The class will take place outside on her
driveway.
This is appropriate for kids with no wheel experience, some
experience or lots of experience. Carmella will work with each
individual child at their own level.

Friday Afternoon at the Tavern is a series of summer programs for children and families to participate in an activity, game, or craft that was part of life when the Wyman Family ran a Tavern in Keene. Friday Afternoon at the Tavern is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. during July and August, with no reservations required. Children ages 8 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

The Theatre Adventure Summer Troupe includes students ages 7-adult. This dynamic inclusive Theater Troupe will explore percussion, pantomime, improvisation, scene studies, costuming, filming, and fabric arts during the Theater Arts Summer Seminar. A few students of this Troupe will create a thirty-minute film highlighting the creative work of all of the students during the seminar. The film will be shown on Friday, July 13 at 7 pm with an actor’s talkback session immediately following the film.

Lights, Camera, Shakespeare! It's 1934, and Shakespeare's most famous fairies, Oberon and Puck, have magically materialized on the Warner Bros. Hollywood set of Max Reinhardt's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour of show biz, the two are ushered onto the silver screen to play (who else?) themselves. The mischievous magic of moviedom sparkles in this hilarious comic romp.
Shakespeare in Hollywood will be staged by the Milford Area Players for two weekends, July 13 through 22, with shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. General admission tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for seniors (60+) and students. Advance tickets are available at Toadstool Bookshop and online at www.MilfordAreaPlayers.org. Tickets are also available at the door. The theater is air-conditioned and wheelchair accessible.
