Printmaking

Time: 9:00 am-Noon
Place: Sharon Arts Center, Peterborough, NH
Price: $25
Ages: 6+

There are endless ways to create prints- potato prints, finger prints, stamps, stencils, screens, foam plate prints, and more! Students will learn about creating multiple masterpieces as they create prints of their own design and stamp them on various surfaces.

This summer series of youth workshops provides a low-commitment opportunity for young artists to push the limits of their artistic interests. Each workshop will touch upon a different medium, tying in reading and hands-on activities. Kids will love trying something new and getting to learn about various tools and materials, and how they have been used by famous artists. Students will have hands-on creative work-time as well as time to discuss their projects as a group, see examples, and share ideas freely. Each medium will provide a different creative challenge and plenty of opportunity for young artists to express their own vision. Kids will experience the process of each medium, and will learn about the exciting results they can achieve through structured projects and activities. Each medium encourages students to develop skills in artistic foundations such as color and composition, to strengthen their hand-eye coordination, and to develop a sense of art appreciation and self-confidence.
