Friday June 22nd at 1:00 pm. Calling all Star Wars fans! Join “Star Wars” enthusiast Peter Struzziero for a fun event of all things “Star Wars.” Come dressed as a character for the costume contest, bring show-and-tell items, join in a trivia contest, play video games, learn about the history of “Star Wars” and more. For ages 6 and older. Families welcome! Registration is requested but not required. Children under 8, please be accompanied by an adult. Sponsored by the Northfield Kiwanis.

Bands at the Bowl

The Winchester Community Band performs at the Potash Bowl!" Bands at the Bowl" is an event put on by The Old Homestead Association and Old Home Day Committee where four different local bands come to perform at the Potash Bowl every Friday night. The series of performances starts June 22 and goes for four weeks leading up to the revival of the Old Homestead play. The cost is free for everyone and refreshments are available at the snack bar. The Desert Dance Ensemble

Learn the basics of of weaving and all of the skills necessary to create a finished piece of fabric; including project planning, setting up the loom, fabric structures and finishing techniques.

Participants will leave with some beautiful handwoven textiles and the skills necessary to complete projects at home.

Family Art & Music Friday

This summer, spend your Friday mornings at The Studio with Sunshine Generation and The Refrigerator Door. Just $5 per child–with a $12 family max–for music, movement, and art with other local families. All ages are invited to participate. Registration is required for each week.

Bring a Bug

The Amoskeag Fishways presents a family program filled with creepy-crawly fun!  Kids will search for bugs around the Fishways and explore some amazing insect adaptations.  Kids are encouraged to bring a live bug to investigate.  Cost: $5 per family.  Advance registration with payment required.  Call 626-3474 for more information.

7th Annual Multicultural Festival

Hair Braiding, Social Services, Kids  Program, and Educational Materials...

Since this is the year of the dragon, the Multicultural Festival will open the downtown event with the Lion Dance performed by the Wah Lum Academy! Listen for the percussive instruments including a drum, cymbals, and a gong to call all present to the festival and to join in the downtown festivities! Way Cool... you will not want to miss this performance at 5pm! Our performance schedule is lining up nicely and we will post details as they are available.

Midsummer Night Magic Extravaganza

The inaugural Midsummer Night Magic - Downtown Concord's Annual Summer Solstice Extravaganza!
Local shops will be open until 10pm, a movie under the stars from Red River Theatres (Labyrinth!), twinkle lights, performers, live music, the newly added Multicultural Festival, the Creative Concord Caravan parade and magic everywhere downtown! This event is free & open to the public.

The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and Creative Concord presents the "Creative Concord Caravan," a participatory caravan of costumes and creativity!sponsored by NHTI-Concord's Community College. We'll have elaborately costumed dancing Fresian horses, well-behaved costumed dogs, circus performers, music and even a Kazoophony! Community participation is necessary! Bring a creative costume, some recycled percussion and join in the fun! We will gather near the State House and then parade to Bicentennial Square for more merriment and live music!
