Open Mic
Every Thursday at 7:00-10:00 pm

Kevin Parry hosts Open Mic every Thursday at the Marina Restaurant, Putney Rd., Brattleboro, VT. from 7-10:00 p.m. Free. Musicians can sign up in advance by calling 802-257-7563.

Juijitsu
Every Thursday at 6:00 pm-7:30 pm

At Gilsum Community Center/Elementary School. Jujitsu classes are open every Thursday from 6:00 -7:30 p.m. Free! Open to adults and children 10 and older (children must be mature enough for instruction as no horseplay will be allowed for safety reasons). This ongoing program is free. Uniforms not required, but please wear loose clothing. Classes will be run by Jason Miller, a black belt and with eight years' experience. To sign up, contact Jason at 352-7603. Mats for this program were purchased by the Gilsum Recreation Committee using funds from the annual Rock Swap & Mineral Show.

Saturday storytime at the Library
Every Saturday at 10:00 AM-10:30 AM

Keene Public Library. This drop-in storytime takes place each Saturday that the library is open. The storytime will include stories, songs, finger plays, and sometimes simple crafts. The storytime is appropriate for children of all ages and their parents or caregivers

Painting Group
Every Thursday at 10:00 AM-12:00 PM 

The Keene Public Library along with the Monadnock Area Artists Association has a painting group meeting every Thursday morning from 10:00 to noon. The program is open to the public with no fees or admission. One simply needs to provide ones own art materials. The group meets in Heberton Hall next to the Library and is a wonderful place to paint. No advance notice is required. Just show up, meet some fellow artists, new friends, and enjoy yourself. 

Open Games at the Library 
Every Thursday at 4:00 PM-7:30 PM

Keene Public Library. It is all gaming!  And, gaming of any kind; whether it is board games, card games, video games, big games, role-playing games, or any other kind of game you can imagine, we'll play it.  Each week, we'll provide a different variety of games for you to play; we welcome you to bring in your own games to share with the group.  Throughout the series, we will have a number of gaming tournaments, so keep your eyes peeled and your ears open, because you might be our next grand champion gamer!

Dungeons and Dragons Campaign
Every Saturday at 12:00 PM-4:30 PM

Join other gamers of all ages at the Keene Public Library for Dungeons and Dragons every Saturday afternoon.  If you are an old pro, come armed with your dice and character sheet.  Please be ready to help newbies get started.  If you are new, bring your imagination!

Script Writing Frenzy Boot Camp
Every Monday at 3:00 pm-5:00 pm

Keene Public Library. Script Frenzy is an international writing event in which participants attempt the creatively daring feat of writing an entire script in the month of April.
The scriptwriting boot camp will teach you everything you'll need to know to tackle the great Script Frenzy challenge this April. Over the next month, you'll invent characters, hatch plots, practice writing dialogue, and even learn a thing or two about the mysterious art of script formatting.  You may write screenplays, stage plays, TV shows, short films, comic book scripts, radio scripts, adaptations of novels, or any other type of script your heart desires.
