Mapping the Connecticut River
Karl Meyer has spent the last six years creating up-to-date maps of the Connecticut from his boat. He will present a visual tour of the river, including the history of log drives, the old lock and canal systems, ferries, bridges and floods, as well as discussing his process of mapping.

North Country Center for the Arts Children’s Theatre cobbles together an exciting rendition of this Brothers Grimm tale. A kind and poor old Shoemaker gives away his last pair of shoes to a beggar and is rewarded by Elves who work in the night making shoes for him. Will the Shoemaker find out who the Elves are? Find out in this sen-shoe-tional show!
Terrific Tuesdays: Shadows in the Night
Terry Reeves, the Education Director at Mariposa Museum and World Culture Museum offers this fun program showcasing shadow puppetry for kids ages five through nine. Each participant in this folk-art program will take a look at the museum's collection of shadow puppet, learn a bit about their history, see a small shadow puppet show, and then create his or her own shadow puppet to take home.
Terrific Tuesdays takes place each Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. during our
summer reading program. Each week there is a different special event
designed for kids that are approximately aged five and up. Well-behaved
younger children are welcome to attend with an adult.
Tuesday Tournaments: Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Repeats weekly with a different game. You can sign up for our tournament at 3:00 p.m.. Tournament play begins at 3:30 p.m.

Cartoonist Marek Bennett leads this Graphic Memoir Workshop and introduces the art of preserving the significant moments in your life in a new and exciting way. We will first look at the work of famous graphic memoir authors then you will get a practical introduction to the techniques of comic book art. We will then focus on developing your own unique story in your personal style.
Don’t worry! You don’t need to have a background or
special talent in art or literature. Just come with your stories (funny
or sad), your special memoires, or your personal reflections on life.
Supplies will be provided too.
