Family New Years Eve Celebration

Time: 10:00 AM-3:00 PM
Place: Children's Museum of NH, 6 Washington St., Dover, NH (about 90 miles from Keene)

Ring in the new year a little early with your family. This festive event includes three special “countdowns to midnight” at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. At each countdown, a glittering ball drops 30 feet from the ceiling as everyone counts down the last 10 seconds of the year. Noisemakers and confetti create an atmosphere like Times Square, and ginger ale is served to all for the first toast of the New Year. Visitors are also invited to make their own sparkly party hats and write their wishes for the new year on mini flying blimps that are launched at each countdown. Admission: $9 for adults and children, $8 for seniors age 65-plus, and free for children younger than 1. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New Years Eve Potluck Dinner and Dance

It’s the annual New Years Eve potluck and dance at the Nelson Town Hall, taking place on Saturday, December 31st. We’ll begin with a dinner potluck at 7 PM, and then continue with contra dancing until it’s time for fireworks at the pond.
