Beethoven's Wig Performance & Summer Reading Kick Off

Time: 6:30 pm-7:15 pm
Place: Keene Public Library, Heberton Hall, Keene, NH
Price: Free
Ages: All

Beethoven’s Wig concerts are filled with stories and anecdotes, comedy routines, audience participation, and of course, songs from the group’s five award winning albums.
A number of years ago, Richard Perlmutter toyed with the idea of writing lyrics to masterpieces of classical music. While humming Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, the words “Beethoven’s Wig is very big” popped into his head.   In 2011, Perlmutter released a new album, “Beethoven’s Wig: Sing Along Piano Classics,” featuring his lyrics set to well-known piano works by Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Schubert, Debussy, Joplin and others. Perlmutter also began presenting solo shows, singing songs from the new album (and selections from previous ones), while accompanying himself on piano.
Beethoven's Wig is really big!
