NH Open Doors, a statewide touring and shopping event for all ages, will be held on November 5 and 6. Visit and shop at the open studios of New Hampshire craftspeople and artisans, local farms, orchards, wineries, and retail shops and galleries filled with NH-made products. Come learn about amazing biodiversity in New Hampshire and the Monadnock region from Dan Sperduto, author of and photographer for the recent book, The Nature of New Hampshire from University of New Hampshire Press. Dan will present a slideshow on the natural communities in our region and have books on hand for sale and signature. Then we’ll head out from the Harris Center for a short driving tour of the natural communities and habitats protected by the Harris Center along Route 123 (Forest Road). Dan is an independent plant ecologist and photographer with Sperduto Ecological Services, LLC in Canterbury, NH. He studied Plant Biology at UNH, and Forest Management at UVM. He has more than 20 years experience with botanical and ecological studies, and with conservation planning with the Nature Conservancy, NH Natural Heritage Bureau, and the University of New Hampshire.

Come one, Come All! To the Greatest Little Circus Film on Earth!
The Friends of the Rockingham Public Library proudly present “Circus Dreams” by documentary by filmmmaker Signe Taylor. This film offers an extraordinary window into Circus Smirkus, Vermont’s own – and the nation’s only--traveling youth circus.
There will be a pre-film performance by Troy Wunderle and a discussion after the film with with the director Signe Taylor and Wunderle.
