Yoga at Your Library

Repeats weekly. Yoga @ Your Library is a beginner level yoga class for adults and teens. No experience is required. Certified instructors will guide participants through the 60-minute session that includes strength building, a body-balancing workout and a quick cool down. Like all library programs, the class is free of charge! Yoga mats are available for use during the class or you can bring your own.

Will Sleeping Beauty awake or does she just hit snooze on the alarm clock? North Country Center for the Arts, Papermill Theater returns this summer with 10 am Monday morning shows for families and youth.
On Monday, 10am, August 6 Papermill Theater performs Sleeping Beauty. This lively telling of the classic fairy tale will keep you awake with all of its action and fun! NCCA’s award winning Children’s Theatre will tell the story of Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip in this fabulous play for the whole family. See how powerful true-loves kiss can be.
$6 at the door. Pre-schools and daycare centers advised to call ahead to reserve an area of seats together. Otherwise, seating is first come, first serve.

Annual Craftsmen Fair

Time: 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Place: Mount Sunapee Resort, 1398 Rt 103, Newbury, NH

A nine-day event that showcases the work of more than 350 craftspeople’s items made by hand – HERE. One-of-a-kind jewelry, glass, pottery, prints, metalwork, fiber arts, woodcarvings, weaving, sculptures, furniture, and leatherwork are on display.
You can meet the makers, learn about their techniques, and purchase from them. Shop at craft booths and The Shop at the Fair. View three exhibitions: Living With Craft; CraftWear; and the outdoor Sculpture Garden. Enjoy craft demonstrations, workshops, tours, and seminars and daily musical performances.

Devil's Tango Author Talk

Award-winning author Cecile Pineda of Berkeley, California, will be in Brattleboro to promote her recent book, "Devil's Tango, How I Learned the Fukushima Step by Step," published by WingsPress. The book signing and author’s talk is free and open to the public.

Devil's Tango chronicles the recent meltdowns of nuclear reactors at the Fukushima Daichi nuclear power plant in Fukushima prefecture Japan.
