Matthew Witten, Storyteller: Nighttime Dreams,  Fairies, & Wild Sleepovers

Who’s Matthew Witten? What does he do? He makes awfully weird faces and sings earthly tunes. He gets kids a-movin’ and feelin’ the groove. He’ll weave a new story in front of your eyes, and get you to dance, no matter your size! While squeezing his box and strumming his strings, your fists become hooves and your arms become wings. Little ones stare and adults often laugh, so come and see Matthew for an hour or half.

Campfire Stories & Songs

Summer Reading Program - "Dream Big -READ" (Preschool - Grade 6) Dreams can take you in any direction: night animals: stars, moon, and constellations; monsters and nightmare creatures; dreams and careers for the future; nightime stories and legends.  

Yoga at Your Library

Time: 6:00 pm-7:00 pm
Place: Keene Public Library, Kay Fox Room, Keene, NH

Ages: Teens & adults

Repeats weekly. Yoga @ Your Library is a beginner level yoga class for adults and teens. No experience is required. Certified instructors will guide participants through the 60-minute session that includes strength building, a body-balancing workout and a quick cool down. Like all library programs, the class is free of charge! Yoga mats are available for use during the class or you can bring your own.

Theatre: The Elves and the Shoemaker

North Country Center for the Arts, Papermill Theater returns this summer with 10 am Monday morning shows for families and youth.
On Monday morning July 30, 10am at Claremont Opera House, NCCA’s Children’s Theatre cobbles together an exciting rendition of this Brothers Grimm tale. In The Elves and the Shoemaker, a kind and poor old Shoemaker gives away his last pair of shoes to a beggar and is rewarded by Elves who work in the night making shoes for him.
$6 at the door. Pre-schools and daycare centers are advised to call ahead to reserve an area of seats together. Otherwise, seating is first come, first serve.

Dinosaur Hunt

Time: 10:00 am-11:00 am
Place: Manchester City Library, 405 Pine St., Manchester, NH
Price: Free
Ages: 1-5


Join us as we go on a hunt for dinosaurs on the library lawn. We will gather in the Winchell Room to listen to dinosaur stories and make a dinosaur craft. Afterwards, we will head outside with our magnifying glasses to look for dinosaurs and dinosaurs bones.Come dress for outside activities. This program is for children 1 to 5 years old.
