Dinosaur Footsteps with Rachel Roberts

Join educator Rachel Roberts at Barton Cove in Gill for this exciting program about the dinosaur tracks found there. Together we will do a variety of hands-on science and art activities connected to dinosaurs, fossils, and tracking. We will hike to the dinosaur track quarry and find tracks set there millions of years ago. Participants should come ready for a hike. This class will reinforce participants’ understanding of pre-historic local history, animals, fossilization and general geology. The workshop is free and intended for families. Children's Day at the Farm

Harrisville Old Home Days 12th Annual Arts & Craft Fair

The 12th Annual Harrisville Old Home Days Arts and Crafts Fair will take place outdoors in the beautiful village of Harrisville, NH on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Over 30 local artisans will offer photography, jewelry, blown glass, soaps, maple syrup, knitted items, handmade toys and stuffed animals, fiber art, hand-crafted wooden items (including toys, utensils, and ornaments), calligraphy cards, frames, bookmarks, homemade jams, jellies, and pie filling, tutus and hair accessories, slate/rock painting, and much more. This event is part of the Harrisville Old Home Days celebration. In the case of rain, the Arts and Crafts Fair will be held at Wells Memorial School on Chesham Road in Harrisville.
