Movie at the Library
Born to be Wild
Born to be Wild is an inspiring story of love, dedication and the
remarkable bond between humans and animals. This film documents orphaned
orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue and
raise them—saving endangered species one life at a time. This film is a
heartwarming adventure transporting moviegoers into the lush rainforests
of Borneo with world-renowned primatologist Dr. Birute Mary Galdikas,
and across the rugged Kenyan savannah with celebrated elephant authority
Dame Daphne Sheldrick, as they and their teams rescue, rehabilitate and
return these incredible animals back to the wild.

On Wednesday, May 30, Susanne Binnie, artist and teacher from
Hollis, NH, will lead a Zentangle workshop at the Peterborough Town
Library, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the library’s meeting hall.
A Zentangle is essentially a structured doodle. It is, however, doodling with the intention of producing a finished piece of art. It is not necessary to be an artist to draw a Zentangle pattern, as there is no ‘correct’ way to complete a piece. Part of the excitement is that as a piece is being developed it may take on a life of its own, and the final product may be quite unlike the original idea!
