New Horizons Annual Walk Against Hunger Sunday, May 20th

Come join us and walk against hunger to benefit the hungry and homeless of Manchester on Sunday, May 20th. This four-mile walk in downtown Manchester is New Horizons’ largest annual fundraiser. There will be food, entertainment and fun for all! Rain or shine. Registration at 11:00 AM and walk begins at Noon. Veteran’s Park at the corner of Elm and Central Streets. New Horizons operates homeless shelters, soup kitchen and food pantry. More information at www.newhorizonsfornh.org

Kites Against Cancer

Join Exeter Hospital at its' 4th annual Kites Against Cancer community event. This fun filled family event will include kite flying, face painting, raffles, refreshments, music with onsite radio personalities provided by WERZ and more. Warm up with Zumba® on the beach at 11:00 am. All proceeds benefit The Exeter Hospital Center for Cancer Care's The Beyond the Rainbow Fund which provides financial assistance to local cancer patients in need.

Antrim Nurses Look Back on Their Careers

On Sunday, May 20, the Antrim Historical Society will present a program, “Veteran Nurses Look Back on Their Careers”. Joyce Davison, Ann Haggett, Carol Snow, and Marcia Ullman will reflect back on their motivations for becoming nurses, experiences in nursing school, professional specialties, and relationships with other health care professionals, and overall feelings about their careers. Audience members will be able to ask the panelists questions.

The program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Sunday May 20th  from 2-4pm. Interested folks will learn an easy method to bake delicious bread at home on a regular basis at the Westmoreland Town Hall in Westmoreland.
