March is Student Art Month in Windham County and the Arts Council of Windham County is organizing shows and events to spotlight the great art coming from our young people.
This year we are adding poetry to the arts to be celebrated. As visual and aural arts provide tools and traditions to explore how we see and hear our world, so poetry provides a window into language and how we shape it and it shapes our experience of the world.
Saturday, March 10, Village Square Booksellers, 32 the Square, Bellows Falls, will host an open mike poetry reading at 2:00 with a focus on young poets from Windham County. Details from info@villagesquarebooks.com
