This is a group to help inspire those who keep wishing they'd get around to writing down and sharing those stories . Not a study group, this is an informal gathering with no instruction and only the kind of feedback you ask for.
Meetings will be held every 2nd Saturday morning of the month in the reference room of the library. Aim to bring a short piece to share, so we'll have time for everyone.Contact Barbara  Dretzin at 756-3831 or stop by the library for more details.

Matching Lincoln’s height and beard, Steve Wood bears enough of a resemblance to our 16th president to make heads turn even when not wearing black trousers, vest, frock coat, and stovepipe hat. His first-person historical interpretation includes anecdotes from Lincoln’s visit to NH, stories of his early life, campaign debates with Stephen Douglas, and the Civil War that followed his election to the Presidency.

Steve has been featured in New Hampshire magazine, on WMUR (NH) Chronicle, WCVB (Boston) Chronicle and New Hampshire Public Radio’s Front Porch and The Exchange. He was named as the Editor’s Pick for “Best Lincoln Look-Alike” in New Hampshire magazine’s “Best of NH” issue in July 2002. There will be time set aside for a question and answer session with Steve at the end of the program.
